| The San Francisco African dance and drum festival provides a rare opportunity for audiences to experience a wide range of traditional dance, drumming, and music with a group of professionals who are able to play the music with a depth, an intensity, and an understanding that is at once very old and very new. All of the teachers are accomplished and experienced teachers as well as performers and are seasoned in the subtleties of transmitting the complexities and the beauty of the traditional music while still remaining true to its origin and spirit. |
